Thank you so much for your interest in STRAC Institute. Our instructors and I look forward to welcoming you to our innovative and unique course in electronics. We offer a course designed to give you the skills necessary to start your new career at a minimum cost of time and expense.

At STRAC Institute, our mission is to provide you with a clear path to a successful career in electronics, one of the fastest-growing job sectors today. We provide hands-on training to help you quickly master industry skills and earn 13 electronics certifications in 20 weeks or less. Then we help you get hired.

Your STRAC experience doesn’t end at graduation. We’ll match you with Electronics Technician positions in companies that are right for you and help you apply. And you’ll have continued access to our job placement services, even if you change jobs in the future.

Program Cost

Our Certified Electronics Technician training program offers speed and flexibility, allowing you to graduate with 13 industry-recognized certifications after five months. This means you may start seeing a return on your investment in your education in as little as five months.

The total cost for our program ranges from $17,000 to $24,700, depending on the length of the program you select.

There are a limited number of seats available in each class. Seats are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Job Placement

STRAC’s goal is employment and a sustained career for students. STRAC minimizes the training-to-employment timeframe and rapidly closes the skills gap between traditional education and industry. To ensure a high probability of employment, STRAC Institute dedicates a full-time advocate to work directly with employers so that students completing STRAC will be better matched to a successful career.

Completion of this program leads directly to employment opportunities. By the time students complete the STRAC program, they will have the skill set to be employed in technician roles such as Soldering, Test, Utility, Installation, Avionics, Maintenance, Research, Field Service, Prototype, Inspection, Medical Electronics, Industrial Electronics, Consumer Electronics, Cable Harness, and Circuit Board Assembly Technician. 

The core skills, training, and certifications obtained in these courses are invaluable assets for the students in their initial employment and future career.

Program Phases

Phase 1: Core Electronics

Objective: Earn entry-level industry certificates:

DC, AC, Analog, and Digital Electronics Certification per the Electronic Technician Association– International (ETA) IPC – Requirements for Soldered Electrical Electronic Assemblies w/Space Addendum (J-STD-001, Class 3)

IPC – Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies (IPC-A-610)

IPC – Counterfeit Component Identification Certification (CCI)

IPC – Acceptability of Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies (IPC-A-620) 

IPC – Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)

  • Trained in the classroom in electronics fundamentals and tested for basic skills & knowledge
  • Hands-on skills lab exercises and assessments
  • Laboratory and classroom training conducted with industry-standard equipment
Phase 2: Career Track

Objective: Earn certificates that provide an employment advantage:

ETA Associate Electronics Technician (CETa) certificate

ETA Journeyman Certified Electronics Technician (CET) certificate

  • Trained and tested in the classroom for knowledge and competency in ETA Comprehensive and also Industrial Electronics
  • Laboratory and classroom training conducted with industry-standard equipment
  • Upon completion, students will graduate and receive a STRAC Institute Certificate of Completion
Employment & Continued Enrollment

Objective: Enter the industry at a level commensurate with experience and skill STRAC will:

  • Foster active relationships with employers to gain employment opportunities for our students
  • Develop professional resumes and cover letters
  • Help students develop employment expectations
  • Prepare students for interviews
  • Ensure students and employers understand the nature of the job offer and that the acceptance terms are amenable to both parties

***Qualified students will work toward their Senior and Master certified electronic technician designations during this phase.
